Kia Spectra-2001

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad (2nd-R) inspects a new Malaysian-assembled Korean car 'Kia Spectra' after launching it in Kuala Lumpurk, 03 October 2001. The locally assembled version of the Spectra is the first Korean Kia model to be assembled outside of Korea. A local distributor in Malaysia is working with Kia Motors Corporation to target the delivery of an initial 5,000 units in the first year of operations with a price tag of 82,000 ringgit (21,578 US dollars) per unit.
