KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Malaysian Prime Minister and President of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), Mahathir Mohamad, breaks into tears as he ends his closing speech at the three day UMNO general assembly in Kuala Lumpur, 23 June 2001. In his speech, the Prime Minister urged Malays to be obedient and to end corruption from his ruling party.
