Your Excellency, Mr. President, Your Holiness, Assalamaleikum, Let peace be with you,
Firstly, I would like to thank Mr. President and the Kazakhstani Government for an invitation to participate in this remarkable Congress. I'd also like to congratulate the Government of Kazakhstan for holding this Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. It is very topical, because at present the world experiences much trouble and alarm. We witness the fact that, in some sense, it remains still primitive. It turns out to be primitive, as far as the world still believes that murder of people is the only way of resolving problems between peoples.
But the time has come to get rid of these ideas. In this case, I believe, namely religion may play its cruicial role.Unfortunately, in many parts of the world people began to refuse religion, as they lose their faith. But the time has come, when religious leaders should make efforts to remind people about their faith.
As only owing to religion, owing to belief in that relationships between people could be carried out by means of negotiations through arbitration and legal procedure in the court, we'll manage to put an end to murders, which happen at present all over the world. Namely due to this reason, I joyfully accepted the invitation to participate in this Congress, as there is a chance to know much, while taking part in debates, discussions, which will take place between different religious leaders, representing all world religions.
And I hope that these dialogues will result in more mutual understanding between peoples. Perhaps, we'll be able to hope that it will lead us to the resolution, which will put an end to conflicts, murders.
I'd like to congratulate President Nazarbayev and the Government of Kazakhstan for holding this Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
