KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad smiles during his economic address to Parliament 03 April 2001 in Kuala Lumpur. Mahatir unveiled an ambitious 10-year development plan, aimed at almost doubling per capita income by 2010, eradicating poverty and giving ethnic Malays a larger stake in the economy.
